So, I recently joined Twitter, which to be quite honest I originally thought was a silly idea. Now that I’m on, I’m hooked, especially since the Crackberry is back in my hands! In any case, if you didn’t know before, now you do. I’m on Twitter, so come on and follow me…

Best Moments of ‘08
December 30, 2008While I lead a pretty boring life, lol, I definitely had some moments this year that I kill myself laughing when I think about them or simply smile. Thanks to my friends and family for the good times. Here’s the best of them…
Getting ambushed by Bobby & Whitney (RIP to that duo!) Thank goodness you two are no longer together, but that whole scenario was definitely one of the highlights of your relationship. LOL… I’m not calm right now??!?
Hanging out at TAJ (Great place by the way, good food & even better ambiance) watching a comedy show with a real drunk, loud Harlemite. Can’t say names, sorry. Embarrasing as heck when your table is constantly getting attention from the comedian(s), mind you, we’re in the balcony! Sure was funny though.
Pay $2 for a metered yellow taxi cab that went from Time Warner Center to 40/40, clearly way across town, on Courtney’s 21st. Priceless. There was no stealing or favors exchanged the duration of this cab ride. Lol.
Sitting on the curb on Lexington Avenue at 2am, waiting for that darn bus, after getting harassed & fleeing the ham-burglar & his countrified cousin at One Fish, Two Fish. *Side Note* Should the rare occasion that the countrified gentleman is reading this, lol, sorry I didn’t leave my number)
Vanna’s 21st Birthday, TOO funny. Unfortunately, The proof is on Facebook. Don’t know how it ended up going where it did, but I don’t know what I was thinking.
“You look good. You know when you see something good, you just shake your head. That’s what you made me do.” Name will be omitted due to the obvious corniness factor of this line, lol. It’s the thought that counts though, so I guess it was a sweet gesture…
When going to Blockheads (Good food, better drinks), it’s a given fun will be had, so it was no suprise that each time I made a trip this year (SEVERAL) the laughs were non-stop. I enjoyed everytime, that includes when I was with you John (Happy? Sorry for making you wait.)
Thanksgiving was awesome, thanks to Lee’s oxtails & Aunt Vickie’s consistent jokes. LOL. It was great all of us being together, especially Aunt Sally & Grandma (Sharpest Ladies I know). Not that I need to reiterate it, but you worked that dress Aunt JoAnne.
The Christening of my Godson, Parker. Still so grateful for the addition of him to my life, and the Forbes to my extended family. Love you guys
Aside from anytime I’m spending with fam cracking up from Daddy’s jokes, I must say enrolling back in school, getting those A’s were definitely the highlight of the year for me.
This was a beautiful year for me, ups & downs included, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. Thank you to all my loved ones & family who helped make it that way. I look forward to creating even better moments next year!

Quote of the Day
December 29, 2008You can’t help it, you’re a Nickerson, it’s in the genes – Theresa Bray Nickerson affectionately known as “Doll”, or otherwise known as Grandma
Said in regards to my sister on her fierce look today, lol, so THAT’S where we get it from!

Fave 8 Designers
December 29, 2008“I keep my already tiny closets half empty, filled, and spread out with only great pieces.” – Genevieve Jones
I’m not too sure about the tiny closets thing, lol, but if the funding was readily available my closet would be filled with great pieces from these designers. Once again, these are in no particular order, with the exception of MY #1 Ralph Lauren. The list was quite difficult to narrow down as I have so many, but Mike & Chris, as well as Chris Benz and Derek Lam get honorable mentions.
Ralph Lauren – His looks are effortless and timeless.

Rachel Roy – Is a favorite because she always delivers ultra feminine looks.

Phillip Lim 3.1 – Always out of the box, yet still practical.

Diane Von Furstenberg- Love DVF for her timeless & continual modern looks, all the while remaining effeminate.

Oscar De La Renta – One word, Gorgeous! Oscar De La Renta’s frocks always evoke emotion from me.
Michael Kors – American Style at its best.

Catherine Malandrino – Always bright & dainty.

Pardon the Interruption
December 15, 2008For quite sometime I’ve wanted to start a blog, because as personal friends know I often have ALOT on my mind and even MORE to say. The blog was to serve as my own way of getting out what I had to say, but as personal aspirations became clearer & ideas arose, it’s purpose changed. But I digress…
I started the blog in a haste, not considering or putting other responsibilities into place. I thought this would be “something light”, which it definitely isn’t, and I don’t want it to be either. I underestimated the time it would consume in comparison to other obligations such as school, work, etc. Which is why I haven’t been active in quite sometime, so I apologize for that. Now that the semester is winding down and soon to be over, I can resume my duties as Blogger! I have so many things I wish to do and so many things I wish to share, so please stay tuned.
