Only Me….

Anybody remember that episode of Chapelle’s Show where he did a parody of the film “What Women Want”, and he did his take on how it would be if women could hear men’s thoughts??Well UNFORTUANATELY, I had that same experience today on my way to work! Lol.It was just aloud.

I’m seriously considering getting my license QUICK just so I don’t have to get on the train with the crazy people who board it everyday, I’m not even worried about the price of gas.

I’m riding the train, minding my business & sick of it because I misplaced my Anti-People Device (Ipod) so I’m already out of it just for that factor. I love my music, and always have to have it on me so I was especially aggravated. Well anyway, I’m chilling by the door since I only have one stop to go and to my dismay and later embarrasment(SMH)… This man gets on the train & is compelled to shout to the rest of the train occupants “Damn! She got a big *expletive*?!” and then proceeded to question other traingoers about my behind??! Now anyone knows the ride between 135th & 125th on the 2 line is all but 1 minute, that felt like the LONGEST 1 minute EVER….

I know ya’ll have at least 5 subway stories if you live in the city, especially you Rome, lol…

True Story

So, I literally just got home from class & saw something that definitely made me think twice about the current state of the economy. Unlike President (Don’t give a F%$!)* Bush would have you to believe, trust we are in a recession and it is serious. As I was on the train it made me realize it’s not only effecting most people’s pockets but their morals/personal views as well. Any other time, people see panhandlers coming and along come the waves or the grunts or the turning up of the volume on their ipods, nowadays I know people are saying a silent “I feel you”. All jokes aside, the other day my sister & I were walking and some seemingly well to do young lady asked us not for directions, but a dollar?! Crazy!

But anyway, tonight I’m sitting on the train and two adults, along with a young boy, no older than 6 or 7 boarded the train with a boombox. Now if you’re a true New Yorker & have riddent the subway at least once you know the side doors are like revolving doors when it comes to panhandlers. After the train took off, they started to do the obvious & dance. Now under any other circumstances, my first thought would’ve been “Shouldn’t that kid be in bed for school tomorrow?!” Today, all I could think was “Sucks, times is soo hard even the kid has to work late nights & hustle”Lol. To be honest it’s not even funny, but all I know is that if McCain gets in, it WILL be 100x worst. So please do your part November 4th, and get out there & cast your vote for the better candidate.
